Explore the ideas that shape Willow’s approach to education—where curiosity, connection, and care come together. Rooted in global best practices, our blended model reimagines what school can be.
A school specifically designed for learners.
At Willow Academy, learning a second language is more than an academic pursuit; it is a daily practice that transforms the way students see and think about the world.
Some examples of integrated units include:
In Willow Academy’s curriculum, Ecological Stewardship empowers elementary students to actively care for their natural environment. Through projects like planting native species and habitat restoration, students become environmental stewards, fostering a sense of responsibility and community engagement. It’s a transformative journey instilling lifelong values of environmental conservation.
Nature Journals in the elementary curriculum capture students’ outdoor exploration. These journals, filled with observations and sketches, enhance literacy skills and deepen the connection with nature. Chronicles of changing seasons and intricate details, Nature Journals nurture a love for the environment, develop observational skills, and lay the foundation for a lifelong appreciation of the natural world.
Tactile play develops fine and gross motor skills, physical play stimulates growth, and make-believe play accelerates social-emotional learning. Most importantly for us, all kinds of play foster a love of learning that young children will carry with them as they move upwards through school.
Our early childhood program begins with the facilitation of healthy separation from caregivers and progresses through the development of all-important self-help skills. With constant, individualized support from their teachers, our youngest students learn how to take care of themselves and each other—whether pouring water from a pitcher, hanging up their coat or cleaning up after playtime—and in so doing, build competency and self-confidence.
